We have received a report from Temairazu, Inc., the provider of our site controller system (a central management system for multiple booking channels), confirming that an unauthorized third party accessed their system.

As a result of this incident, personal information associated with some guest reservations may have been viewed or exposed, and suspicious messages or phishing emails pretending to be from our hotel have been sent to some of our guests.

We sincerely apologize for any deep concern and inconvenience this situation may cause to our guests.

2. Recent Fraud Tactics & Examples of Phishing

While initial reports involved fraudulent communications via the messaging app "WhatsApp," recent cases include sophisticated phishing emails sent on the day before or the day of arrival, disguised as official communications from our hotel, demanding credit card payments or information updates.

<Examples of Suspicious Requests>

  • Demanding credit card details or re-entry under the guise of reservation confirmation.
  • Requesting urgent advance payment claiming "to secure your room" or "to shorten front-desk procedures".
  • Claiming "your reservation has been cancelled" and asking for re-payment or re-processing.

3. Important Guidance & Precautions

  • YAWN YARD will NEVER ask you to enter credit card information or make additional payments via WhatsApp, email, or SMS for reservation confirmation or check-in procedures.
  • Your reservation will NOT be automatically cancelled due to this issue.
  • If you wish to verify your reservation details, please contact our hotel directly or reach out through the official contact desk of the booking site you used.

If you receive a suspicious message or email, please exercise extreme caution regarding the following:

  • Do NOT click on any URLs or links provided in the message.
  • Do NOT enter your credit card information or personal details under any circumstances.
  • Do NOT reply to suspicious messages or make payments/transfers as instructed.
  • If you have accidentally entered your credit card details on a suspicious website or executed a payment, please contact your credit card issuer immediately.

4. Response Status of System Provider (Temairazu, Inc.)

Temairazu, Inc. has reported the following status and countermeasures:

  • Identification of Cause and Completion of Fix:

    The vulnerability that caused the unauthorized access was identified and resolved on Saturday, September 26, 2026. Core operational functions (inventory, rates, and booking sync) continue to operate normally.

  • Enhanced Security Measures:

    Password resets for management tools, server connection restrictions, enhanced authentication, and strengthened attack detection/prevention and monitoring systems have been implemented.

  • Reporting to Authorities:

    Reports have been submitted to the police, external specialized investigative bodies, and the Personal Information Protection Commission.
